Other events
Throughout the year, Chianti offers a rich calendar of events that pay a tribute to the local flavors and its extraordinary area: including, but not only, the famous cycling event of Eroica, in early October, and Radda nel bicchiere, between May and June. Among the most eagerly awaited sporting events are the Chianti Ultra Trail running race, the Strade Bianche cycling race in March, and the Eroica in moto in May, along the white roads of Chianti. In autumn it is the turn of the cycling and food & wine route of the Gran Fondo del Gallo Nero (in September), Il Classico in moto (second Sunday in October) and the Ecomaratona del Chianti (third Sunday in October).
