Colle Val D'Elsa
The San Lorenzo Apartments, located in the upper part of the medieval town of Colle Val d'Elsa, are an ideal starting point for a journey of discovery of the village’s historic centre, featuring the ‘Castle’ and connected to the lower part of the village by a lift carved into the rock. From the apartments, you can also set off to explore the ancient trails that have left their mark on the history of the territory of Siena and beyond: Via Francigena, the road that millions of pilgrims travelled along during the middle ages on their way to Rome, as well as the roads of Chianti Classico, considered to be one of the oldest and most prestigious wine-producing areas in the whole of Italy.
